About fourteen years ago I became involved in a volunteer program for LEARNING DISABLE CHILDREN at my daughter’s high school. My first student was a young boy in grade eight whose learning skills had not progressed far from grade three. During my work with the boy I discovered from him that he had found his Mother dead in her car following her suicide. From that time on, the emotional trauma had affected his learning skills and emotional development. It was this child that made me ask the question; is there more I can do to help children in all forms of their development including a sense of belonging? That question had the most profound effect on my life – and it lead to the development of PACH.
